Initial Settings
S
etting the warning tone
The warning tone sounds to remind you to
detach the front panel. (Refer to page 44.)
You can turn the warning tone function on or
off.
1. With the source turned off, press and
hold 1.
2. Press NEXT and then press DT-WRN to
select the warning tone mode.
3. Press DT-WRN to turn the warning tone
on.
“ON” appears in the display.
• Press DT-WRN again to turn the warning
tone off.

etting the automatic opening
function
The automatic opening function opens the front
panel to remind you to detach it. (Refer to page
44.)
You can turn the automatic opening function on
or off.
1. With the source turned off, press and
hold 1.
2. Press NEXT and then press DT-OPN to
select the automatic opening mode.
3. Press DT-OPN to turn the automatic
opening on.
“ON” appears in the display.
• Press DT-OPN again to turn the automatic
opening off.

etting the DAB priority function
When a hide-away DAB tuner (e.g., GEX-
P700DAB) is connected, you can set the
product in this mode so that a traffic information
interruption from the hide-away DAB tuner
takes precedence over this product’s RDS traf-
fic announcement (TA) function.
1. With the source turned off, press and
hold 1.
2. Press NEXT and then press DAB P. to
select the DAB priority setting mode.
3. Press DAB P. to turn the DAB priority set-
ting on.
“ON” appears in the display.
• Press DAB P. again to turn the DAB priori-
ty setting off.
Note:
• You can select to the DAB priority setting mode
only when a separately sold hide-away DAB tuner
(e.g., GEX-P700DAB) is connected.
With DAB priority ON
When the selected service component supports
road traffic flashes and transport flashes, DAB
reception is not interrupted by this product’s
RDS traffic announcement (TA).
With DAB priority OFF
Interruption is by the first received news flash,
either this product’s RDS or the hide-away DAB
traffic information broadcast.

witching the auto PI seek
During the preset station PI seek operation, you
can switch the auto PI seek function on or off.
(Refer to “Using the PI seek function” on page
14.)
1. With the source turned off, press and
hold 1.
2. Press NEXT and then press A.PI to select
the auto PI seek mode.
3. Press A.PI to turn the auto PI seek on.
“ON” appears in the display.
• Press A.PI again to turn the auto PI seek
off.
