Problem

Solution

You have not fried the

food long enough.

Check the package of the food to be fried or the

food table for your type at the end of this booklet

for the correct frying time.

There is too much

food in the basket.

Never fry more food at one time than the quantity

that is mentioned in the food table for your type at

the end of this booklet .

The oil or fat does not

become hot enough

The fuse of the temperature control may have

blown, which causes the safety cut-out to switch off

the appliance. Let the appliance cool down for

approx. 15 minutes, if necessary. Carefully press the

reset button at the back of the control panel with a

small screwdriver.
Make sure the oil or fat is hot enough before you

put the food to be fried in the basket (See chapter

‘Using the appliance’).

The fryer gives

off a strong

unpleasant smell.

The removable filter is

saturated.

Remove the filter and clean it in hot water with

some washing-up liquid or in the dishwasher.

The oil or fat is no

longer fresh.

Change the oil or fat. Regularly sieve the oil or fat

to keep it fresh longer.

The type of oil or fat

you use is not suitable

for deep-frying food.

Use frying oil or liquid frying fat of good quality.

Never mix different types of oil or fat.

Steam escapes

from other places

than the filter.

You have not closed

the lid properly.

Close the lid properly.

The removable filter is

saturated.

Remove the filter and clean it in hot water with

some washing-up liquid or in the dishwasher.

Oil or fat spills

over the edge of

the fryer during

frying.

There is too much oil

or fat in the fryer.

Make sure the oil or fat in the fryer does not

exceed the maximum level.

The food contains too

much moisture.

Dry the food thoroughly before you fry it and fry

the food according to the instructions in this user

manual.
