Solution

I want to brew

espresso from

ground coffee, but

no espresso comes

out of the appliance.

You have put too much

ground coffee in the ground

coffee compartment.

Switch off the appliance and remove the

brewing unit and thoroughly clean the inside

of the appliance. Brew espresso from ground

coffee again, but do not put more than one level

spoonful of ground coffee in the ground coffee

compartment

You have not selected the

ground coffee function.

As a result, the appliance

has become blocked

because it has tried to brew

coffee using both the pre-

ground coffee and the coffee

from its own grinder.

Switch off the appliance and thoroughly clean

the inside of the appliance. Brew espresso from

ground coffee again, but make sure you select the

ground coffee function.

You have put ground

coffee in the ground coffee

compartment while the

appliance was switched off.

Thoroughly clean the inside of the appliance.

Brew espresso from ground coffee again, but

switch on the appliance before you put the

ground coffee in the ground coffee compartment.

The coffee does not

come out of the

coffee spout but

around the edges of

the service door.

The spout holes are clogged

with dried coffee residues.

Scrape the dried coffee residues out of the spout

holes with a needle.

The slide-out tray inside the

service door is blocked and

cannot slide in and out of

the service door.

Thoroughly clean the slide-out tray, particularly

near the hinges to ensure that it slides smoothly

in and out of the service door.

No milk comes out

of the milk frothing

spout.

The milk intake tube is not

inserted or not properly

inserted into the milk jug lid.

Insert the milk intake tube in the rubber ring in

the milk jug lid.

The milk is not

properly frothed.

The milk jug lid is dirty.

Clean the milk jug lid.

Clean the nozzle for the milk jug.

The milk jug is not placed

correctly.

Place the milk jug correctly into the appliance.

The milk contains

bubbles or squirts

out of the milk

frothing spout.

The milk is not cold enough

or you have not used

skimmed or semi-skimmed

milk.

Use skimmed or semi-skimmed milk at

refrigerator temperature. If you still do not

get the desired result, try a different milk brand.

Some water is spilled

when I place or

remove the water

tank.

It is normal that some water

is spilled when you place and

remove the water tank.

The spilled water automatically flows into the

drip tray.
