To add multiple columns anywhere in the table, select cells spanning columns equal to

the number of new columns you want to add (for example, select three columns if you
want to add three columns), and then choose Format > Table > Add Columns Before
or Add Columns After.
You can also choose these commands from the Edit Rows & Columns pop-up menu in
the Table inspector. Click Inspector in the Toolbar, click the Table inspector button, and
then click Table.
You can split cells into two equal rows. “

Deleting Table Rows and Columns

To delete one or more rows or columns in a table, you must first select at least one cell
in each of the rows or columns you want to delete.

Here are ways to delete selected rows or columns:
Choose Format > Table > Delete Column or Delete Row.

Click Inspector in the toolbar and click the Table button. In the Table inspector, click

m

Table, and then choose Delete Row or Delete Column from the Edit Rows & Columns
pop-up menu.

Resizing a Table

You can make a table larger or smaller by dragging one of its selection handles or
by using the Metrics inspector. You can also change the size of a table by resizing its
columns and rows.

Here are ways to resize a selected table:
Drag one of the square selection handles that appear when a table is selected.

To maintain the table's proportions, hold down the Shift key as you drag.
To resize from the table's center, hold down the Option key as you drag.
To resize a table in one direction, drag a side handle instead of a corner handle.
To resize by specifying exact dimensions, select a table or table cell, click Inspector

in the toolbar, and then click the Metrics inspector button. Specify a new width
and height in the Size fields. To maintain the table’s proportions, select “Constrain
proportions” before you change the width and height values.

Resizing Table Rows and Columns

The easiest way to resize rows and columns is to drag their borders. But you can also
select one or more cells and use menu commands to make their rows or columns the
same height or width.

If you want to specify exact dimensions for row height or column width, use the
Table inspector.
