4. Before starting up again, pick up

screed and set it back about a foot,

then proceed.

5. If there is a time delay between conĆ

crete trucks, the unfinished concrete

should be rough graded back and well

below screed strike off height. This will

prevent a cold joint when screed operaĆ

tion is resumed.

CLEANING

1. After using screed for the day, immediĆ

ately wash the screed down with a waĆ

ter hose or high pressure washer and

scrub any hard buildup of concrete with

a stiff brush. Do not use wire brush.

2. Grease each bearing of the mechanical

screed with one shot of low temperaĆ

ture grease immediately after cleaning.

Do not over grease the bearings!

Run screed at operating speed for one

minute to dissipate and expel excess

grease.

DO NOT USE A HAMMER TO REMOVE

CONCRETE FROM THE SCREED.

HYDRAULIC WINCH OPERATION

OPERATING

The hydraulic winches are powered by the

main screed shaft and will only operate

when it is running.

To start hydraulic winch.

1. Move winch handle to the CABLE IN"

position.

2. Move the drive gear lever to the ENĆ

GAGE" position. The screed will begin

moving. If screed does not move, turn

speed adjusting knob clockwise until it

starts to move.

3. To adjust speed, turn the knob on top of

the valve marked Travel Speed. After

desired speed is reached, the jam nut

must be locked down or vibration will

change the setting.

4. The Auto Stop is to allow the screed to

stop at any obstruction without falling

over.

To stop hydraulic winch

1. Move the drive gear lever to the DISĆ

ENGAGE" position.
