CONTROLS AND INDICATORS

The operator shall know the location of each control and indicator. They shall have a thorough
knowledge of the function and operation of each before attempting to operate the unit.

Ground Controls and Lights Include- Emergency Stop, Push to Enable, Retract Legs, Level Machine, Raise/Lower,
Battery Level, Alarm, Platform Overload and Outriggers Out. (Shown Above Figure 2-1)

Platform Controls Include- Emergency Stop, Alarm, Lift/Drive and Joystick. (Shown Above Figure 2-2)

PRE-OPERATION SAFETY INSPECTION

Note: Carefully read, understand and follow all safety rules, operating instructions, labels and National Safety

1. Raise scissor lift and put safety prop into place. Then inspect for damage, fluid leaks or missing parts.
2. Check the level of the hydraulic fluid with platform fully raised. Fluid level should be just above the pickup

tube. Add recommended hydraulic fluid if necessary. See “Specifications” on page 14

3. Verify that the batteries are fully charged.
4. Verify that the extension deck is fully retracted before driving.
5. Check that the A.C. extension cord has been disconnected from the chassis plug.
6. Verify that all guardrails are in place and are properly fastened.
7. Inspect the machine thoroughly for any cracked welds and structural damage, loose or missing parts,

hydraulic leaks, damaged control cables and frayed or loose wire connections.
