If this number is exceeded, the user will be locked out. The user will have to be
unlocked by the administrator. A successful log-in resets the counter to 0.

Validity for
“New” status

When logging in (through the software, or directly to the device) for the first
time, every user must alter the assigned password. If this parameter is set to
anything other than 0 days, then the time between setting up the user in the
user list and the first log-in of this user will be checked. If the defined time limit
is exceeded, then the user will be locked out. The user will have to be
unlocked by the administrator.

0 = no check of the “New” status.

Validity of the
password

The password must be changed every x days.

0 = no change of password required.

Validity after
inactivity

The user will be locked out when this time has elapsed, i.e. he has not logged
in for x days. The user will have to be unlocked by the administrator.

The setting for “Validity after inactivity” is similar to the setting for “Validity for
New status”. The time between the previous log-in and the present log-in will
be checked.

0 = no check of inactivity.

Re-
authentication

If there is no user activity for x seconds (no keys are pressed), then the user
who is logged in will automatically be logged off. The user will have to log in
again before carrying out the next action.

0 = no re-authentication.
