8 Data transfer to a PC

8.1 Network user
If the software components are installed on a PC by using the “Network user”
option for installation, then a reference is created to the user list of the
administrator installation. If the administrator alters the contents of his user
list, then this list is automatically made available to the PC for the network
installation.

8.2 Local user
If the software components are installed on a PC by using the “Local user”
option for installation, then a rights file must be imported during the
installation. No reference to the file is created, it is imported instead.
Rights files are created by using the menu function Data transfer ! Create PC
rights file.
If the administrator alters his user list, he has to create new rights files which
must then be downloaded again to the PCs (“Local user”).

Before carrying out an installation of software components, using
the “Network user” or “Local user” option, you must carry out an
installation with the “Administrator” option on one PC. The
administrator PC is then used to create the user lists and PC rights
files that have to be transmitted to the other PCs.
