The DIO Link must be terminated at each end with an 82 Ohm 1/2 watt
resistor. The resistor is connected across Line 1 and Line 2. In addition,

Chassis Grounding
Method 1
1 Because the DIO / DH–485 shields are tied together at each block, you should only connect the shield to chassis
ground in one place. If you choose to ground the shields using Chassis Grounding Method 1 (shown here), do
not use Chassis Grounding Method 2 (shown on page 2–5).
