ATTENTION

Be sure that all combined FRUs in the chassis have the same airflow direction.

Under the heading “Replacing the fan assembly” on page 48, add a step after step 5 and before
the paragraph that says “"You can enter one of the following commands at the command line
prompt to display fan status:”

Step 6. If you have changed the airflow direction in the chassis by installing three FRUs with a new

airflow direction, you must run the command chassis fan airflow-direction
[port-side-direction], where the [port-side-direction] operands are either port-side-intake or
port-side-exhaust, depending on which direction the airflow is directed.

switch# chassis fan airflow-direction port-side-exhaust

Previous configuration : port-side-intake

Current configuration : port-side-exhaust

System fan airflow-direction changes will be effective after reboot!!
