General information

Care

The 805 Dosimat requires no special care. Take care to ensure however that
it is not exposed to any excessive contamination nor to any corrosive influ-
ences. These could under certain circumstances result in functional disrup-
tions and a reduction in the service life of the inherently sturdy mechanics
and electronics.

Monthly inspections are called for in the event that alkali, corrosive or high-
concentration reagents are used. If non-problematic reagents are used, then
the inspection intervals can be extended to between six and twelve months.

Spilled chemicals and solvents should be removed immediately. Above all,
the plug connection on the rear of the instrument should be protected from
contamination.

Caution

Although this is extensively prevented by design measures, the mains plug
of the control device should be unplugged immediately if aggressive
media has penetrated the inside of the instrument, so as to avoid serious
damage to the instrument electronics. In such cases, the Metrohm Service
must be informed.
