6 Troubleshooting
6.1 Problems
Problem Cause Remedy
Data of the exchange
unit cannot be read. Data chip mechanically
damaged or impaired by
chemicals. ￭ Remove the exchange unit and set it up
again.
￭ Have the data chip replaced by the Metrohm
Service Dept.
Dosimat cannot be
actuated by the con-
trol device. Connection between Dosi-
mat and control device is
interrupted or an error has
occurred on the Dosimat. ￭ Check the cable connections.
￭ Switch the instrument off and on again.
￭ Check the dosing and filling rate.
￭ Contact the Metrohm Service Dept.
Exchange unit recog-
nized either not at all
or incorrectly. The exchange unit has not
correctly been attached. ￭ Remove the exchange unit and set it up
again.
￭ Check the correct placing of the exchange
unit.
￭ Check the piston and flat stopcock position.
￭ Switch the instrument off and on again.
￭ If necessary contact the Metrohm Service
Dept.
LED "Status" is flash-
ing fast. The dosing drive is overloa-
ded because the flat stop-
cock is blocked. Switch off the Touch Control or exit PC Control.
Check wether the exchange unit can be
removed. If it cannot be removed, check wether
the flat stopcock still can be turned. Switch it
manually to the exchange position turning it to
the right (see manual for the exchange unit).
Remove the exchange unit and proceed as
described in the manual for the exchange unit.
The dosing drive is overloa-
ded because the piston is
blocked.This error is dis-
played by the software
(Touch Control or PC Con-
trol / tiamo). Switch the control device off and then on again.
The dosing device is being initialized during
switching on. Remove the exchange unit and
clean it as described in the manual for the
exchange unit in chapter "Care and mainte-
nance". Contact the Metrohm service if remov-
ing the exchange unit is not possible.
