Setting the Modeling Lamp Power.

The modeling lamp intensity for all of the PL300DR, PL1250DR and PL2500DR units is
displayed in watts, using the factory-supplied 250-watt lamp values. For the PL500DR and
PL1000DR units, the modeling lamp intensity is displayed in the percentage of light output.
Each can be adjusted in three ways:

1. Click the Manual Button.

• Use the large “+” or “-” to adjust the

modeling light in 1/2 stop increments
or decrements.

• Use the small “+” or “-” to adjust the

modeling light in 1/10 stop increments
or decrements.

• Type your desired intensity settings

in the settings box.

2. Click the Track-Set Button.

Remember: The modeling values are shown in watts for the PL300DR,
PL1250DR and PL2500DR PowerLight models and the modeling values are shown in %
of light output for the PL500DR and PL1000DR models.

• This feature will set the full model

intensity at the current power level
of the flash output set. If you then
decrease the flash power level, the
modeling level will also lower at the
same rate or tracking with a 1:1 ratio
on the flash power. If you increase
the flash output from the current level,
you will not see any increase in model
intensity as it was set at full on the
current levels. To change the tracking
full-power point, turn the tracking
feature off, move the flash power
setting up, and then turn the tracking
feature back on at the higher flash
level. The modeling lamp will now track
down from the new level.
