CONNECTING THE CHAT 50 TO EXTERNAL DEVICES
Connecting to a Telephone
Using the included power supply (CHAt USb Plus, International, and global traveller models only), connect the

CHAt 50 to a power outlet as shown below.
Connect the CHAt 50 to the telephone using the appropriate cable.

Contact the ClearOne technical or Sales department to order the cables and any other accessories.
DO NOT plug the cable into the telephone’s line jack, handset jack, or a telephone different from that
listed on the bottom of the Phone breakout box as damage to the telephone and/or CHAt 50 might
occur.
Connecting to a Desktop Video Conferencing Device
In addition to using the CHAt 50 with PC-based webcams and video conferencing applications via USb, you can also
use it with stand-alone video conferencing devices.
Using the supplied power supply (USb Plus only), connect the CHAt 50 to a power outlet.

Connect the CHAt 50 to the video Conferencing device using the appropriate cable. ClearOne makes two cables

for desktop video conferencing with CHAt: 3.5mm plug to dual RCA plug; and 3.5mm plug to 3.5mm plug.
