6. TYPICAL OPERATION
optional digital module, you can use the AES/EBU DB-15 digital output, the DB-25 TDIF
(Tascam type) or the ADAT optical output to route all eight channels directly to the digital
inputs of a digital recorder or console.
Refer to the illustration in Section 5.4 (Using All Outputs to Feed Five Destination Devices)
for details on using all available outputs simultaneously. Also, see Section 5.4 (Using
the Optional Digital Module) for additional information and hook-up illustrations.
6.3 USING ALL OUTPUTS TO FEED FIVE DESTINATION DEVICES
A picture is worth a thousand words. The above illustration gives you an idea of the
flexibility of the 1788A. Substitute a digital house or monitor mixer, analog recorder, or
any other combination as your design may require. The point is, all the audio outputs are
available for use at the same time.
