6 Close the system. See "Opening the System" on page 67.
7 Reconnect the system to power and restart the system.

SD Memory Card

You can install an optional SD memory card in a connector on the system
board.

CAUTION:

Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You

should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your
product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and
support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered
by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the
product.

1 Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect

the system from its electrical outlet.

2 Open the system. See "Opening the System" on page 67.
3 Fold the hinge on the SD card all the way back.
4 Insert the SD card into the SD card holder so that the SD card label is

facing up and the guide pin on the holder is to the left of the SD card.

5 Locate the SD card connector on the system board. See Figure 6-1.
6 Hold the SD card assembly so that the label is facing away from the chassis

wall, and insert the SD card connector into the connector on the system
board.

7 Close the system. See "Opening the System" on page 67.
8 Reconnect the system to power and restart the system.

NIC Daughter Card

The NIC daughter card provides two NICs, in addition to the two on the
system board.
