Removing the Video Card(s)

Prerequisites
1 Remove the battery pack. See "Removing the Battery Pack" on page 12.
2 Remove the base cover. See "Removing the Base Cover" on page 14.
3 Remove the center control cover. See "Removing the Center Control Cover" on
page 26.
4 Remove the keyboard. See "Removing the Keyboard" on page 32.
5 Remove the macro keyboard. See "Removing the Macro Keyboard" on page 36.
6 Remove the display assembly. See “Removing the Display Assembly” on page 43.
7 Follow the instructions from step 1 to step 7 in Removing the Palm Rest.
8 Remove the video-card heat-sink(s). See "Removing the Video-Card Heat-Sink(s)" on
page 70.
Procedure
1 Remove the screws that secure the video-card(s) to the system board.
2 Lift and slide the video-card(s) out to disconnect it from the connector on the system
board.
