Configuring a VRF on the LNS

To configure a VRF, enter the following commands:

Configuring Sessions per Tunnel Limiting on the LNS

To limit the number of sessions per tunnel without using a RADIUS server, enter the following
commands:

Router> enable

Enters privileged EXEC mode.

Step 2

Router# config terminal

Enters global configuration mode.

Step 3

Router(config)# ip vrf vrf-name

Enters VRF configuration mode and defines the VPN
routing instance by assigning a VRF name.

Step 4

Router(config-vrf)# rd route-distinguisher

Creates routing and forwarding tables.

Router# config terminal

Enters global configuration mode.

Router(config)# vpdn-group group-name

Defines a local group name for which you can assign other VPDN
variables. Enters VPDN group configuration mode.

Router(config-vpdn)# accept-dialin

Configures the LNS to accept tunneled PPP connections from the
LAC and creates an accept-dialin VPDN subgroup.

Step 5

Router(config-vpdn-acc-in)# protocol 12tp

Specifies the Layer 2 Tunnel Protocol.

Step 6

Router(config-vpdn-acc-in)#

virtual-template

template-number

Specifies the virtual template to be used to clone virtual access
interfaces.

Step 7

Router(config-vpdn-acc-in)# exit

Returns to VPDN group configuration mode.

Router(config-vpdn)# terminate-from

host-name

Specifies the host name of the remote L2TP access concentrator
(LAC) that is required when accepting a VPDN tunnel.

Router(config-vpdn)# session-limit

limit-number

Specifies the maximum number of sessions per tunnel.
