RBE Architectural Model

In the figure, an ATM network (with no routing capability) is between the clients and the
Cisco 10000 series router. Each client session arrives on a VC (multiple sessions and PCs can use this
single VC). IP traffic of the client is encapsulated in RBE. The Cisco 10000 series router processes ARP
or DHCP requests and routes the client data packets toward their final destination, typically onto the ISP
or corporate network.
