Troubleshooting

The following table provides corrective action for possible trouble situations. If
further assistance is required, please contact a Crestron customer service
representative.

TPS-12G/15G/17G-QM Troubleshooting

TROUBLE

TPS-12G/15G/17G-QM
is not receiving power.

Verify power to unit. Use
only Crestron power
supplies for Crestron
equipment.

Incorrect cable
connections.

Follow connection
procedures in this guide
and inspect connector
pins.

Incorrect
firmware/software.

Update firmware/software
versions as per those
listed in the
“Specifications” section.

Touchpanel is
incorrectly calibrated.

Enter “SETUP MODE”
and recalibrate.

Touchpanel is not
communicating with the
network.

Use Toolbox to poll the
network. Verify network
connection to the
touchpanel.

TPS-12G/15G/17G-QM
does not function.

Brightness is set too
low.

Adjust touchpanel
brightness. Refer to
“Setup Menu” which
starts on page 25.

Incorrect network
wiring.

Touch the screen to
remove the message and
verify correct wiring to all
connectors.

Touchpanel Cresnet ID
is not set to match the
Net ID in the SIMPL
program.

Use Crestron Toolbox to
poll the network. Verify
the Cresnet ID for the
touchpanel is properly set
to match the Net ID in the
SIMPL program.

Touchpanel Cresnet ID
is not unique; two or
more units share the
same ID.

Use Crestron Toolbox to
poll the network and
verify that each ID is used
only once.

Touchpanel is not
responding.

ICMP is disabled.

Enable ICMP by typing
ICMP ON at the
command prompt in the
Toolbox Text Console.
