Recording from the
MD Walkman on an
MD

1 Press FUNCTION repeatedly until
“MD WALKMAN" appears in the
display.

Pause the MD Walkman.
If the MD Walkman does not have Pause
function, stop the MD walkman.

Press or on the MD
Walkman repeatedly to select the
track you want to record.
Note
You cannot select the track when K4 /
button on your MD Walkman is also used for

Press ► on the MD Walkman.
Recording starts at the same time the
MD Walkman starts playing.
Stop recording
Press ■, then press ■ on the MD Walkman.
The sound from the speaker is interrupted
and the recording stops.
While "TOC" is lit or is flashing
To ensure complete recording, do not move
the deck or pull out the mains lead. The deck
updates the Table of Contents (TOC) while
"TOC" is flashing.
Notes
• When the MD WALKMAN SYNC recording is
started while the MD Walkman is stopped, a few
seconds before the MD Walkman starts playing
may be recorded as a blank space.
• When the recording is stopped or paused, the
sound from the speaker may be interrupted a
maximum of 3 seconds. This is not a malfunction.
• The Smart Space and the Level Synchro functions
does not work.
Adjust the recording level
Do the following procedures after step 3.
1 Press MENU / NO twice.
"Setup Menu" appears.
2 Turn the jog dial until "Level Adjust?"
appears, then press ENTER/YES.
The recording level appears.
3 Turn the jog dial to adjust the recording
level.
The recording level can be adjusted from
-12 to +12. Adjust the recording level so as
not to light up "OVER" in the display at
the strongest sound.
4 Press MENU / NO.

Press MD WALKMAN SYNC.
The deck stands by for recording.
