Speaker System.Hookups
Overview
This section describes how to connect your speakers to
the receiver. Altl'K)ugh front (left and right) speakers
are reqinred, center ajid rear speakers are optional.
Adding center and rear speakers will enhance the
surrttund effects. Connecting an active woofer will
increase bass response (for STR-DE505 only).

Twist thv stripped ends ot the cord about 2/?> inch (13 mm}.
Be sure to match the speaker and to the appropriate
termiiial on tlie cumponents: + to + and - to -. It the cords
are re\'t.Tsed, the sound be distorted and will lack bass

Connect them to the FRONT SPEAKERS B terminals,
'Q' If your TV monitor uses separate speakers
You can conned one of them to the SURROUND
SPEAKER CENTER terminals for use with Dolby Pro
Logic Surround sound (see page 13).
