Using Surround Sound

You can increase the output level of the rear speakers

Although the adjustment range of the rear speakers is
preset, you can shift the range up for increased output.
Hold down the CENTER MODE button while turning on
the receiver, "GAIN [UPJ" appears in the display. The
displayed values remain fixed at -15 to +10 but you can
hear the difference in the actual output.
To reset the rear level adjustment range, repeat this
procedure, "GAIN [NORMAL]" is displayed.

Adjusting the delay time

You can make the surround sound more effective by
delaying the output from the rear speakers (delay
time). You can adjust the delay time in 5 ms steps
within the range of 15 to 30 ms. For example, if you've
placed the rear speakers in a large room or apart from
your listening position, set the delay time shorter.

Press DPC MODE until the SUR indicator lights up.

The current delay time appears in the display.

You can adjust the tone of the speakers.
