Removing and Replacing the Blower Exit Elbow





Tool Needed:

Diagonal or wire cutter





WARNING! Before performing any maintenance procedure, stop the

engine and disconnect the spark plug wire.

Safety

Switch

1. Disconnect the Blower Exit Elbow to

the Collector Box Hose by releasing
the two flexible latches (Figure 44) and
separate the hose.

2. Cut the tie around the Inlet Hose at

the end of the Lanyard (Figure 43).

3. Remove the four (4) Wing Screws

from the Blower Exit Elbow Assembly
(Figure 44).

4. Lift the Blower Exit Elbow Assembly

from the top of the Blower and install
a new assembly in the reverse order
(Figure 44).

5. Install the new cable tie through the

end loop of the Lanyard about halfway
along the Blower Inlet Hose.

6. Check the Safety Interlock Switch to

be sure that it is engaged.

Note: If the safety interlock switch is not

engaged, adjust the switch
mounting bracket by loosening the
bracket bolt and sliding the bracket
up so that the button on the switch
is fully depressed against the
blower exit elbow assembly. See
page 16.
