(3) Flash with Manual Exposure

When you want to set both the sync speed and the aperture, use manual
exposure. The E-TTL auto flash system controls the flash output

according to the aperture you set.

Set the camera to M (manual
exposure) and set the desired
aperture and sync speed anywhere

from bulb to the camera’s maximum

sync speed.

2 Check that the FP flash switch is

set to the green dot (normal sync).

Q Press the shutter button halfway to

focus the subject.

Check the information in the
viewfinder and press the shutter

button completely to take the
picture.
