P Program AE

Like < D> (Full Auto) mode, this is a

general-purpose shooting mode. The

camera automatically sets the shutter

speed and aperture value to suit the
scene’s brightness. This is called Program

AE.

* P

stands for Program

* AE stands for Auto Exposure

Set the Mode Dial to < P>.

Focus on the subject.

© Look through the viewfinder and aim

any AF point over the subject. Then

press the shutter button halfway.

Check the display.

► The shutter speed and aperture value

will be set automatically and displayed

in the viewfinder and on the LCD
panel.

• A correct exposure will be obtained as

long as the shutter speed and aperture

value display do not blink.
