Checking the Exposure Meter Needle

Aim the camera at the subject and check the

position of the exposure meter needle inside the

viewfinder. When you siightly press the shutter
release button down approximately 1mm, the

electric eye circuit operates and the exposure

meter needle indicates the f/stop.

♦ The black dots in between indicate f/16, f/8,

f/4 and f/2 respectively.

lf the exposure meter needle is within the range

of the f/stop scale, you can press the shutter

release button down all the way and the film

will advance.

If the exposure meter needle points to the upper

red mark, it indicates over-exposure. Shoot

after attaching a neutral density filter to lower

the light intensity.

When the exposure meter needle points to the

lower red mark, it indicates under-exposure.

This condition must be corrected before shooting

by adding auxiliary light.
