Q) My account doesn’t show the same gain or loss as FastBreak when I trade with a zero
day delay?

A) The zero day delay is best used when trading Fidelity Selects because they have a
10:00 am pricing. FastBreak assumes you can buy and sell funds on a given day at the
10:00 price that is equal to the previous day’s closing price. If you use a one day delay
and trade non-Select funds, or trade the Selects at the 4:00 p.m. price, you should get
agreement (excluding exchange fees).

Q) I notice that when I use a one day delay and get a sell signal, the gain of my trade
(TRADE GAIN %) changes the next night?

A) At the time the sell signal is given, FastBreak does not know what price you will actu-
ally get the next day at market close (if we did, we would ask for more money!); there-
fore, it assumes you get the price of the day the signal is given. The next night, it actually
knows the trade price and updates the TRADE GAIN % data in the Detail file.

Q) I notice that the DAYS HELD in the detail file is 1 to 3 days greater than I have actu-

ally held?

A) FastBreak looks ahead. After the market is closed, FastBreak knows the earliest you
can sell a fund is the next market day and it gives you credit. If today is a Friday, Fast-
Break gives you credit for Saturday, Sunday and Monday. FastBreak does not count
market holidays so you will need to track those yourself.

Q) File not found error?

A) One of the file names you used is not valid. File names need to start with a letter of
the alphabet and have up to three characters after the period.

Q) How well does the Short Trading option work?

A) We added this functionality at the suggestion of a user and have no experience with
how effective this strategy works. This option may be worth further consideration with
the FastTrack stock data base.

Q) I’m using a signal file and the signal file gave a buy (or sell) today but the Detail tab
does not show any trades happening?

A) Are you using a signal file Risk value other than zero? If so, on the days that the sig-
nal file changes direction the strategy will move money into or out of the money market
fund. You can observe this in the % in MMK column of the Detail Tab. A fund rotation
can occur on the signal day also, and that trade will be reflected in the normal manner.
See additional information in the manual section that describes the Detail Tab.
