11. Advanced Functions
The Nexto Video Storage has seven advanced function menus, accessible from the Main Menu

Format internal hard drive. See chapter 13 for more details.
Built in simple file browser for searching, deleting and copying files and
directories of the hard drive. See chapter 6 for more details.
Synchronize the data stored in Nexto Video Storage and external USB hard
drive connected at "USB OTG" connector via USB host cable. Used for backing
up data.
On/Off setting for buzzer sound. Factory setting is On.
On/Off setting for auto verification option. Factory setting is Off.
If this option is set, full verification is done after each memory card copy.
Built-in test utility for testing physical errors on internal hard drive or memory
card.

Main Menu Allow user to choose one of the seven functions below.

Press the control key briefly to get to the main menu page.
There are three menu pages. You can move to any function by pressing and releasing the
control key. Press and hold (press more than 1 second) to select the function. See chapter
13 and 6 for "Format" and "Browse" function
Sync function
Be sure to connect the power adapter of external USB hard drive. The Nexto
Video Storage may not be able to provide the amount of power needed by
external USB hard drive.
Main Menu

The "Sync" synchronizes data between [NEXTOVS] folder of the Nexto Video Storage
and [NEXTO] folder of external USB hard drive connected to the "USB OTG" connector
via USB host adapter.

This function compares the folders stored in the [NEXTOVS] folder of the Nexto Video
Storage and the [NEXTO] folder of USB hard drive. New folders will be copied to the
other device, i.e. if a folder is in [NEXTOVS] but not in [NEXTO], then that folder will
be copied to [NEXTO]. If a folder is in [NEXTO] but not in [NEXTOVS] then that folder
will be copied to [NEXTOVS]. The copy direction is selected during the function set
PwrOff : 30s
