MEMORY RECALL PORT

The MEMORY RECALL PORT (MRP) provides contact closure

control to recall any of the 16 system Memories. Eight of the Memories
are recalled with simple switch closure to a single terminal (see the
Normal section of Table 1). Multiple units may be controlled by
connecting these terminals in parallel. Either momemtary or latching
switches may be used. If a latching switch is used, the selected Memory
is recalled upon power-up. If more than one terminal is grounded at a
time, the lower-numbered contacts will normally be ignored. However,
certain combinations of terminals may be grounded to activate Paging
or Binary modes (see table at right). A “Binary” mode allows access to
all Memories. “Paging” mode provides installers an easy way to
configure a system which uses a single switch (such as a mic key
switch) to toggle between two sequential Memories (See below).

Since only changes in contact position(s) are detected, either

latching or momentary switches may be used. However, when wiring
contacts, only use Normal, Paging or Binary mode — do not switch
between modes.

Starting with RPM 26v firmware rev 2.2 and RaneWare 2.07, the

MRP may be programmed so that any input code (including no connec-
tion) may recall any Memory.
