STARTING CANOGAVIEW EMS
Windows Operating Systems
You can start CanogaView EMS in two ways: using the shortcuts off the Start Menu or by typing the URL
in a web browser.
If you need to type the URL in a web browser, use the following: http://localhost:8080/nms only if
you did not change the default value for the top port number listed in the Glassfish Installation Options
window (8080). Localhost is the default name for the local computer, also known as the loopback
address of the computer (127.0.0.1)
If you replaced the default port number with another port number, you must enter it in the URL (e.g. If
you replaced 8080 with 8090, you would type http://localhost:8090/nms in the web browser).
To access CanogaView EMS running on another or a remote system, substitute the IP Address of the
CanogaView EMS server for the localhost. Example: http://1.2.3.4:8080/nms.
To access the Server Admin Console, use the respective IP Address, or localhost, followed by :4848.
Example: http:// localhost:4868 or http://1.2.3.4:4848.
Firefox Bookmarks and/or Internet Explorer Favorites can be setup to any CanogaView EMS page.
Solaris Operating Systems
To start CanogaView EMS, open a web browser and type: http://localhost:8080/nms but only if you
