SHOCK COOLING ALARMS

You may configure alarms that trigger on the rate of cylinder head cooling. Press DOWN▼ to
select DETECT, below SHOCK COOLING. Then, press SEL► to toggle the DETECT setting
to ON. Like other alarms, you can cycle ALARM through SELF-CLEAR, LATCHING, and
OFF. See Alarm and Color Threshold Configuration on page 5-2 for definitions of those
functions. Next, configure the MAX º/MIN (maximum degrees of cooling per minute) parameter
to the desired value. When any CHT’s rate of cooling exceeds this value, a shock cooling alarm
is triggered. When this occurs, the CHT(s) exceeding the defined maximum cooling rate will
alternate between their actual value and a SHK alert. If you have configured the ALARM setting
to either SELF-CLEAR or LATCHING, the SHK alarm will be red and will be accompanied by
an alarm bar. If you have configured ALARM to be OFF, the SHK alarm will be yellow.
