■ Maintenance

After the deck has been used for a long period

of time, the heads, pinch roller and capstan will

become dirty, leading to noise and uneven rota­

tion so that recording is no longer possible. We

therefore recommend that cleaning and damag-

netization be carried out on a regular basis.

To carry out cleaning, remove the cassette hold­

er cover and wipe thè inside parts with a cotton

swab

(available

commercially).

Impregnated

with alcohol or head cleaning solution. It should

be remembered that keeping the heads clean is
of great importance in obtaining good record­

ings.
For demagnetization, carefully follow the in­

structions given in the head demagnetizer
manual.

All parts must be kept clean.

• Removing the holder cover

Press the ejector button so that the cassette
holder opens. Grasping the holder cover, pull it

upwards and the cover will come off. To fit the

cover back into place, follow the reverse

procedure.
