Suggested Remedy

While using the remote control

No operation.

Are the batteries flat?

Replace them with new ones.

Have the batteries been installed incorrectly with

their (+) and (-) polarities reversed?

Align the (+) and (-) polarities correctly.

Is the remote control’s transmitter pointed at the
unit’s sensor?

Check whether anything is obstructing the path

between the two and point the remote control

squarely at the unit’s sensor and operate.

Is the unit’s sensor exposed to direct sunlight or

strong fluorescent light?

Shield the sensor from strong sources of light.

While using the timer

No timer operation at the
programmed time.

Is the unit turned on (when the play timer and the

recording timer are being used)?

Turn the unit off upon complefion of the settings.

Has the programmed timer indicator (TIMER,

TIMER-REC or SLEEP) lighted?

Operate again so that the display lights up.
