About the Dolby Noise Reduction system

(For Australia and Now Zealand only)

Using Dolby NR reduces tape hiss in the high-frequency range, it
boosts the levei of the high-frequency program content during
recording, and lowers it by the same amount during playback,
simultaneously reducing high-frequency noise incurred during the

recording process.

This system has the Dolby B-type of noise-reduction system. With

Dolby B, noise is reduced to about one-third. If you are playing a

tape that was recorded with Dolby NR, use the Dolby NR mode

during playback.
