Using the Microphone

(For areas except Australia and New Zealand only)

You can enjoy the microphone mixing piayback or recording with
this system.

Mixing is the combination of a voice or instrumental sound (through
a microphone connected to the microphone jack) and the sound

from a CD, tape or radio.

See “Basic Operating Procedure" on page 16 for concerning the
connecting and adjusting the microphone volume level.

Connect the microphone to the MIC Jack.

Start the desired source to perform the mix-
ing playback.

Adjust the microphone volume level using the

MIC VOL control.

Recording

■ Recording through microphone or performing

the mixing recording

Connect the microphone to the MIC Jack.

2. Insert the cassette for recording in deck 2.

2. Press the input select button.

When recording through microphone:

Press the TAPE input select button.

When performing the mixing recording:

Select your desired sound source.

Press REC PAUSE to put the cassette deck

into the recording standby mode.

5 Press one of the playback buttons to start

recording.

When performing the mixing recording:
Then start playing the source to be recorded.

Mixing recording with cassette tape

Connect the microphone to the MIC Jack.

^ Insert the playback cassette in deck 1 and the
^ cassette you are recording on into deck 2.

Press the TAPE Input select button.

^ Press the NORMAL edit button to start the
^ recording.

Notes:
•If you hear strange noises (squealing or howling) during mixing,

move the microphone farther away from the speakers or turn
down the volume.

•When you are not using the microphone, disconnect it from the

MIC jack, and turn down the microphone volume level to “0 dB".
