Check the following points before requesting for repairs or service. If the maifunctlon

persists, please contact your dealer.

Faults

Does not operate.

Has the fuse blown or has the circuit breaker been tripped?
Is the Main Control Knob set at Off?

Does not cool or heat effectively.

Is the air fiiter dirty? See air filter cleaning instructions on page 8.

Are the air intake and outlet vents on the rear side of the unit

(outdoors) blocked?
Is the air conditioner set for ventilation (the ventilation lever set

at Open) or is the Main Control Knob set at either High Fan or

Low Fan?

The Thermostat Control Knob may not be set low enough. Turn
the knob further clockwise; the indoor air should become cooler or
warmer.

The room may have been very hot when the air conditioner
was first turned on. Allow time for it to cool down or heat up.
The cooling coils have iced up. To melt the ice, turn the Main Control

Knob to FAN and the Thermostat Control Knob anti-clockwise.

The room has a peculiar odour.

Check that this is not a damp smell exuded by the walls, carpet,

furniture or cloth items in the room.

Air conditioner operation is

noisy.

For a noise that sounds like water flowing:

This is the sound of freon circulating inside the air conditioner unit.

For a noise that sounds like a shower:

This is the sound of the dehumidifying water being processed

inside the air conditioning unit.

It seems that condensation is
leaking from the air conditioner.

Condensation occurs when the airflow from the air conditioner
cools the warm room air.
