8. Functional description / Operating instructions
Please read these operating instructions carefully so that you are familiar with,
and are able to use, all of the functions of your MOVISTROB MS 2700-Ex. For your
own safety and information please read through the instructions on the following
pages!

8.1 Initial operation and function
In order for the stroboscope to be used in the Ex-area, the batteries must inserted
and the battery compartment must be closed (see 8.2 Battery replacement).
Further details concerning operation and function can be found under point 9.2.

8.2 Battery replacement
The batteries should be replaced if the level of luminance is no longer deemed
to be satisfactory. Only the appropriate, approved types of batteries may be

used (refer to point 7. Specifica-
tions).

To change the batteries open the
battery compartment.

Battery replacement:

- Only use type-tested batteries.

- Pay attention to the correct polarity.

- Please dispose of any used batteries properly and in an environmentally-

friendly manner!

- When replacing batteries the closing mechanism and seals should be ex-

amined for cleanliness and signs of damage.

8.3 Bulb replacement

The MOVISTROB MS 2700-Ex is equipped with extremely durable LEDs. Under

normal conditions it is not necessary to change the LEDs. In the event of a

defect or decreasing brightness levels (despite inserting new batteries) the

stroboscope is to be sent to ecom instruments for inspection or repair. Repair

work effected by the user may endanger the safety of the device and is not
permitted.
