8.4 Changing the light emitting lens
The lens cannot be changed. If the lens appears to be damaged, the device is
to be sent to ecom instruments for repair.

9. Operation
9.1 Introduction
Each stroboscope is subjected to repeated inspections during its various pro-
duction phases and is re-subjected to a careful function and quality inspection
before leaving the factory.
The device is supplied with a 9V battery and it is ready for immediate use.
The light source is provided by 20 white-light LEDs which exhibit a high light
intensity and a long service life. The max. strobe frequency of the standard
configuration is 350 Hz (equivalent to 21,000 rpm).

9.2 Functional description
The device can be switched on or off by actuating the ON/OFF button
As soon as the stroboscope is switched on the cursor flashes at the „units
position“.
By actuating the arrow buttons ( p q ) the frequency or speed can be ad-
justed upwards ( p ) or downwards ( q ).
Pressing the corresponding arrow button (t u) moves the cursor to the right
( u ) or to the left ( t ).
This enables high or low strobe frequencies and speeds to be set in a shorter
space of time.
The strobe frequency (speed) can then be finely adjusted within the selected
cursor range by pressing the buttons up ( p ) or down ( q ). The value
changes by one digit each time a button is pressed. If a button is depressed
and held, the value will continuously increase or decrease (Repeat function).
When the device is switched off the last value displayed is automatically stored
and re-displayed when the device is switched on again. Pressing the button
HZ/RPM will display the value in frequency or in revolutions per minute. If the
value is not altered for approx. 2 minutes, the device enters the standby mode
to preserve battery life. This can be cancelled by actuating an arrow button.
If the device is located in the standby mode for a further 2 minutes, the
MOVISTROB MS 2700-Ex will switch off completely. If this occurs, the value
that was set last is stored. The values indicated on the LC display can also be
easily read in different lighting conditions. The high-quality electronics, which
are based on state-of-the-art microprocessor technology, are accommodated
in an impact resistant housing.
