Technical specifications for NucleoCounter YC-100

Specificity

Cells stained with the DNA specific fluorescent dye, PI.

Sample types

Suspension of dispersed yeast cells.

Sample consumption

A minimum of 100µl is recommended for the NucleoCassette
loading. Approximately 50 µl of sample is loaded into the
cassette.

Analysis volume

Approximately 1 µl of the sample is being analyzed in the
NucleoCounter YC-100.

Presentation of Result

The NucleoCounter YC-100 presents the estimated cell density
in the sample in the cassette. In order to obtain the cell
concentration in the original cell suspension the result must be
multiplied with the appropriate multiplication factor to
compensate for any dilution.

Operation

Menu-controlled by means of keyboard and LCD display.
