4.2 Set Up an Alert Device

Though phone and email are ready for use, you will need to set up additional
alert devices. To select the list of alert devices available for your system:

From the home screen, click “Install Setup”.

Click “Option Setup”.

If you would like to make an alert device available for use by your Radius
system, check the checkbox beside the alert device you wish to add, and
click “Update”.

Once you have selected all the alert devices you want available for your
system, they can be set up to provide alerts.

To set up an alert device:

From the home screen, click “Administration”.

Click “Alert Devices”.

Select the type of alert device you want to set up from the “Alert Devices”
dropdown menu.

Click “Create a New Alert Device”.

Each alert device type is set up differently.

• To set up a pager alert, see “Set Up a Pager Alert” on page 19.

• To set up a telephone alert, see “Set Up a Phone (Voice Call) Alert” on

page 20.

• To set up an email or SMS text message alert, see “Set Up an Email/SMS

Alert” on page 21.

• To set up an overhead pager or two-way radio, see “Set Up a Overhead

Pager or Two-Way Radio” on page 22.

Note:

To set up alert devices other than those listed above, such as two-way radios or
wall pagers, please contact Inovonics technical support at 800.782.2709, option
two.

4.2.1 Set Up a Pager Alert

To set up a pager alert:

Select “Local Pager” from the “Insert Alert Device” dropdown menu.
