6.1.2 Connection of the Control Panel Display to Each Burner

Because AM Series boilers and water heaters are multi-burner units, the control panel display is
always connected directly to “Burner 1 (Master)”. All parameters presented by the display are
addressed only to “Burner 1 (Master)”. To observe or change, the same parameters for the
other burners, you must change the display connection from “Burner 1 (Master)” to the burner
desired. To do so, refer to Figure 6-12 and perform the following:

Changing the Display Connection for Each Burner

1. Turn off all electrical power to the unit.

2. Follow the steps in Section 6.1.15 to remove the front cover.

3. Unplug connector “B” (display) from “A” (Burner 1), then plug “B” into “C”, “D”, or “E”,

whichever burner is desired for monitoring in the control panel display. Connections are as
follows:

• Plug “C” = Burner 2

• Plug “D” = Burner 3

• Plug “E” = Burner 4

Figure 6-11: Changing the Display Connections for Each Burner

4. Once you have connected the display to the desired burner, turn on power to the unit.

5. Now the display will show all information related to the burner connected to it. Make any

observations or changes to menu parameters per sections 5.3 and 5.4.

6. After observations or changes are made for other burners, again plug connector “B” (the

display) back into the “A” connector (Burner 1 [master]).
