Now that the antenna is set up and properly operating and
the UST-9000 is programmed with satellite positions and spe
cial channels you are ready to pioneer the new frontiers of

satellite television. With the UST-699 infrared remote in hand

and a copy of your favorite satellite program guide, try each
of the functions listed below. All operations described belo\#
are accessed by the remote control used with the UST-900*

or the UST-88 Remote Station.

The UST-9000 will turn on and all the displays will light. The
last satellite and channel previously watched will come on.
You can adjust the volume by pressing the Volume up and
down keys or mute the volume by pressing the Mute key.

Select a Channel

No. key until the satellite number appears. Press the Call key.

The antenna will move to the preprogrammed position for
that satellite. Select the desired channel on that satellite. If
the satellite you selected is not programmed in memory, the

satellite display will revert to the last satellite.

Fine-Tuning the Video

When satellite positions were programmed, the best possible
picture was tuned. There may be times when the signal strays
or natural forces cause the alignment of the antenna to
change. If a certain satellite is consistently bad you may want

to reprogram its setting. If the signal is temporarily off, you
can fine-tune the picture by momentarily pressing the East or
West key. If the picture is still not satisfactory try pressing the

Skew +/- keys on the front panel. The Video Fine key is
primarily used for Ku band reception but may help with some
C band satellites. There may be other factors that affect the
picture quality. See the Helpful Hints section of this guide.
