Focus using the left or right
button and shoot the image.

z Adjust the focus using the left or right button

until the image appears focused on the LCD
monitor.

z Pressing the MF button again cancels the

manual focus mode.

z You can use manual focus in the macro

focal distance 5 to 45 cm (2.0 in. to 1.5
ft.) at wide angle end and 25 to 45 cm
(9.8 in. to 1.5 ft.) at telephoto end. In this
case, the fine scale is adopted.

z You can change the MF indicator

displayed distance units (p. 73).

Saving Custom Settings

You can save frequently used shooting
modes and various shooting settings to the

(Custom) mode. When necessary, you

can then shoot images with previously saved
settings by simply turning the shooting mode
dial to

. Settings that are usually forgotten

when the shooting mode is changed or when
the power is turned off (such as Continuous
Shooting and Self-timer mode) are also
remembered.
