Using the IrDA

Wireless Interface

This printer is equipped with an IrDA 1.0 compatible infrared wireless
communication interface port. The IrDA interface is very popular among
Notebook PC users because no cable is required.

In order to use the IrDA wireless interface, your computer must be equipped
with an IrDA interface and have a Microsoft IR Comm Driver (Infrared driver)
for Windows 95 installed. This device driver is provided with your computer if it
has an IrDA interface.

See your Quick Start Guide to set up the printer for the IrDA interface.

The IrDA interface is available for Windows 95 only.

Positioning the Printer and Computer

The printer must be positioned so the IrDA interface ports of the printer and
computer are facing and level within a range or 15 degrees left or right, up or
down, and not more than three feet (1 meter) apart.

If the IrDA of the computer requires a shorter range, position the printer closer
to the computer.
