Lift up the
cartridge.
Lift up the tab on the left side of the scanner cartridge then raise it out of the
cartridge holder.

Store the scanner
cartridge.
Store the scanner cartridge in the Ink Cartridge Storage Box provided with the
cartridge. You may want to label this container. Only store the Color Image
Scanner Cartridge in this storage box.
Never store the IS-12 Color Image Scanner Cartridge in an Ink Cartridge
Storage Box that has been used for a BJ cartridge. The storage box may have
some ink that could damage the scanning head of the IS-12 Color Image
Scanner Cartridge.

Replace the BJ
cartridge.
Remove the BJ cartridge from the Ink Cartridge Storage Box.
Insert the BJ cartridge into the cartridge holder.
Press down gently on the scanner cartridge until it snaps in place.
Press the CARTRIDGE button once; print head cleaning starts. After print
head cleaning is finished, the cartridge holder moves to the right.
Close the front cover.
