5 Wipe off the objective lens.
Gently wipe the lens with Canon-designated lens
cleaning paper that has been slightly wet with the
Canon-designated lens cleaner.
Starting from the center of the lens, wipe the lens in
increasingly larger spirals toward the circumference.
Change the paper, and wipe several times until the dirt
is removed and the cleaner is completely wiped off.
7.3.2 Viewfinder
Note: Do not let the tip of a blower touch the viewfinder lens.
If the viewfinder is dirty, blow off any dirt or dust on the lens
surface with a blower.
7.3.3 Forehead Rest
Disinfect the forehead rest whenever changing patients.
CAUTION
To prevent the risk of infection, wipe the forehead rest with disinfecting
ethanol, glutaraldehyde solution, or other disinfectant whenever changing
patients.
For more details on the disinfection procedure, please consult a specialist.
Please also consult a specialist when using a disinfectant other than those
specified above or when using ethanol with another disinfectant added
since this could damage the forehead rest.
