IBM compatible PC capable of running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, with a 36-pin parallel port

connection or USB connection.

Apple iMac or Power Macintosh G3 with USB support.

Operating System

Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, or Macintosh OS 8.1 or higher.

(The BJC-8200 printer cannot be used with Windows 3.1.)

Hard Disk

Space required at installation for Windows 95, Windows 98, is approx. 30 MB, for Windows NT 4.0 is approx. 25 MB,

including disk space for temporary files.

Space required for Mac OS 8.1 or later is approx. 30 MB.

When connected via USB with Windows 98

The following items are requred to connect the printer via the USB with Windows 98:

• Windows 98 installed beforehand.

• USB port operation assured by the computer manufacturer.

• To use the BJ Status Monitor, use parallel port LPT1 and a parallel cable capable of bi-directional data

transfer.

• The BJ Status Monitor cannot be used if the computer is connected as a network printer. The printer

must be connected as a local printer in order to use the BJ Status Monitor.
