Locking the Flash Exposure Setting (FE Lock)
You can lock the flash exposure so that the exposure settings are correctly
set for a particular portion of your subject.
To release the FE lock
Press the button.
1 Press the DISP. button to turn the
LCD monitor on.
2 Press the button to set the flash
to .
3 Focus on the part of the subject on
which you wish to lock the flash
exposure setting.
4 Press the shutter button halfway
(two beeps will sound) and press
the
button.
• The flash will fire a pre-flash and lock the
flash exposure to the required intensity to
illuminate the subject.
• The icon will display.
5 Re-aim the camera to compose the
shot as desired and press the
shutter button fully.
