Chapter 10

Using Tone Dialing On a Pulse Line

Even if you have a pulse line, the LASER CLASS 2060P enables you to use
tone dialing once you have connected to the number you are calling. This
lets you take advantage of many services that require tones, such as
selecting options from telephone “touch-line” services.

1.

Pick up the handset and dial the number using the numeric buttons.

❏ The unit connects using the pulses required by your phone line.

2.

Press Tone to switch to tone dialing.

❏ When the Tone button is pressed, T is displayed in the LCD.
❏ Numbers entered after pressing the Tone button will be dialed

using tone dialing.

3.

When you have finished, hang up the handset.

When registering One-Touch Speed Dialing and Coded Speed Dialing
numbers, if you enter the Tone button after the number, you will switch
to tone dialing after the phone connection is made.

After the number (123456) is dialed, it will pause for 6 seconds (ppp) to
allow the other party to answer and then it will switch to tone (T). Now
you can follow the instructions that were recorded by the party you
called.
